[justify][sub] There wasn't much worth looking at here, Corey thought to herself as she rocked on her heels at the border. What was up with this place, anyway, living in some run-down city? She would've much rather preferred to live in a real, bustling metropolis, but this overgrown mess would do well enough for her. The femme clicked her tongue, pushing a wad of mint gum around in her mouth behind the vinyl of an equine mask. If someone didn't come by soon, she'd probably just turn around and find some other clan to bother.

[justify][sub]Ah, here was that "somebody" she was thinking of. The ocelot took her time blowing a gum bubble, and then popped it between her teeth, before pulling off her mask and grinning. "I'm Corey! This is a cool place, right? I wanna join it. So, like, lemme in."

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub]Oh. Somebody was gone? Why did that matter so much? It wasn't like they died or anything - animals came and passed as they pleased, Corey thought, they didn't have anything holding them back. The ocelot frowned a little, her lip tugged to the side as she watched Sunkit's reaction with faint curiosity.

[justify][sub] Corey wandered around in camp, trying to figure out the most important landmarks while avoiding tripping off a cliff or something along those lines. She was pretty bored, really, with no one to talk to (unless talking to herself counted, whenever she stopped to rant a a rock she stubbed a toe on). Eventually the ocelot gave up trying, and peeled off her mask to take a seat and hopefully attract some clanmates. She speared the mask on the katana she slung across her back, the tip of the sword stabbing through one of the eye holes and leaving it dangling precariously from the hilt. "Meet and greet," Corey called, flicking her tail around her paws in an attempt to distract herself from the boredom that was beginning to creep up on her.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub]"Oh, uh, thanks!" Nice mask? Ha! She wore it when she killed people. Whatever; that was for them to figure out later. The small wildcat fluffed out her fur and nodded to the others, meowing, "Hiya! I'm Corey, if you didn't catch it."

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub]"Oh, nooo," Corey hummed softly, a look of genuine disappointment on her expression. She was indifferent towards death, maybe, but it was no less disheartened to find bodies like this. Rubypaw hadn't even died what the ocelot would consider a "fun" death. Looking at Kestrelflight, she gave an affirming nod. "I'll help."

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub]Corey trotted over and took a seat, first believing that there was a genuine fight before her frown dissipated into giggles. Kits could be so ridiculous sometimes, but they had so much life in them that Corey couldn't find it in herself to break it up.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub]Now, this was drama that Corey hadn't gotten in on yet. Hanging back a few cautious feet, the ocelot donned her mask and stared down the triber behind the mesh that covered the eye holes. There seemed to be a hint of passive hostility in the air, which wasn't difficult to pick up on; well, it could get interesting, to say the least.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub] Corey was kind of bored, if not lonely. All of her friends - Alex, Ash, and Tony amongst others - were probably dead or in hiding, so there was no clear way for her to contact them, and she hadn't made any close friends in Clouredclan yet. What a drag.
She walked along a bent and rusted beam, wobbling in places where the steel narrowed and carefully picking her way along the dilapidated structure. It made a good obstacle course, if anyone was willing to join her. Overhead, the sun was masked behind a layer of fog and clouds, and left the air feeling hot and humid despite the usually-cool springtime season. Beadlets of sweat turned the fur around her temples into thin spikes, and she flicked her ears now and then to keep cool.
She could really use some entertainment.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub] She nearly fell as a voice caused her to jump; had he been there this whole time? The ocelot took a second to regain her balance carefully, before hopping from one beam to another in a zig-zag that lead back to solid ground. "Nah, I'm just pretending to be a ninja! Or something like that." Perhaps she was one to enjoy a bit of danger - climbing at dangerous heights didn't really strike her as dangerous at all, so she was a little surprised that Mi Amor would be so taken aback. "What're you doing?"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub] Corey slipped in, mostly unseen in the darkness but the highlights of her features lit by Sunkit's iridescent glow. The ocelot sidled up beside the others, peering down into the pit but appearing calm. Or, at least calmer than the others. If the kit didn't make it out... Well, Corey didn't know her very well.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub]"Hey, you, uh, you don't look too good," Corey called quietly, dropping from a tree branch on which she'd been attempting to catch a bird - the voice of a stranger had scared off her lunch. The ocelot crept forward to stare down at the wolf, tilting her head and assessing the damage he'd taken. Where had he come from? How did he get such an awful gash? There was no time to question, as he could bleed out if she didn't get him some help soon. "I'm not a medic, but I could get you some cobwebs for that if you need it, mister. You just chill out for now, 'kay?"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub]"Nice job, I guess," Corey congratulated halfheartedly. Capturing wasn't half as good as killing - or, she supposed it was just half of the job. Looking at the Shadowclanner, she decided anything else she wanted to chatter on about in regards to her opinion of capturing would just get her into trouble - so, she remained quiet.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub]The imminent scent of death drew Corey in, albeit in a withdrawn entrance. She watched the pup struggle on the ground with a look of horror, before slipping forward to comfort him in his last moments of life. Trying to look happier than she felt, Corey whispered softly, "I'm sorry, sweetie. It'll be alright."

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub]"Are you calling me fat?" Corey chimed as she padded circles around him, grinning all the same. It seemed they both had similar methods of befriending others - she could be brash without realizing it, but she was smart enough not to test her limits with those she didn't know well enough. It seemed Mi Amor was an exception to that. Now, she wouldn't admit that she had a tendency to do life-threatening stunts out of boredom, so she had to rule "Teach Mi Amor to climb the beams and not die" out of the question for today. "Well, hm." Corey put some more thought into his question before asking, "Do you like sparring?"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 1px; border color: transparent]

[justify][sub]Corey's jaw dropped in faux-surprise, and almost immediately she drew out her katana - maybe just to show it off a little, on top of the demonstration she was about to give. "Corey, nice to meet'cha. But I'm not small," the ocelot huffed towards Zerrin before picking up the long blade. "Sparring is like play-fighting. 'Cept I don't really play around, since it's so important to know how to use the fighting tools you've got. Some have claws, but I have this!" She waved her blade in the air excitedly. Catching Tourmaline, her smile faltered; it was only a minute downward twitch of her lips, but it was enough. She flicked her tail in silent greeting to Calum, eyes still trained on the hybrid as she challenged quietly, "...Why don't you try me, then?"
